1. Machame Route – “Whiskey Route”

  • Accommodation: Camping

  • Scenic and varied

❌ Cons:

  • Popular = can be crowded


2. Marangu Route – “Coca-Cola Route”

  • Duration: 5–6 days

  • Success Rate: Lower (due to fast ascent)

  • Difficulty: Moderate

  • Scenery: Forest and moorland

  • Accommodation: Huts (not tents)

✅ Pros:

  • Only route with hut accommodation

  • Popular with first-time trekkers

❌ Cons:

  • Less scenic

  • Crowded and rapid ascent affects success rate


3. Lemosho Route – Most Scenic & High Success

  • Duration: 7–8 days
