A 2 Days Tanzania Safari is the perfect option for those short on time but eager to experience the incredible wildlife of Tanzania. On this exciting journey, you will explore two of Tanzania’s top wildlife destinations: Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. Get ready to witness stunning landscapes, a variety of wildlife, and the iconic Baobab trees that Tarangire is famous for.
You will be picked up at your hotel in Moshi/Arusha and driven to Tarangire National Park via Arusha. The drive will take approximately 4-5 hours, so sit back, relax, and get to know your Elite Kilimanjaro Expedition guide. Once you arrive, you will spend 4-5 hours driving within the park, which is famous for its large number of elephants and vast scattered baobab trees. Other mammals like giraffes, antelopes, lions, and cheetahs can be seen here, but it’s not guaranteed. Lunch is provided during the day, but a word of wisdom: although the local vervet monkeys may look cute, they are mischievous, especially when it comes to food, so hold onto yours tightly. At roughly 4:00 p.m., we will leave the park and drive to Haven Nature Safari Camp for your dinner and to spend your first night.
Another early morning start as you head to the Ngorongoro Crater – one of the new 7 Natural Wonders of Africa. Not only does the Ngorongoro Crater offer breathtaking scenery, but it is also home to over 25,000 wild creatures. You may be lucky enough to spot the Big 5 here. Estimates suggest there are roughly 7,000 wildebeest, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 eland, 3,000 gazelles, 600 hyenas, 200-300 elephants, over 60 lions, 30 rhinos, and many others in this small area, so I hope your camera is charged and ready to go. The crater itself is about 610m deep and covers 260 square kilometers, providing ample opportunities to spot your favorite animals. After a 4–5-hour game drive, we will drive back to the hotel in Moshi or Arusha or fly back home
